Biography
Jay Burgess is Founder & Principal Forward Deployed Engineer, Revuity Systems, an operational systems company based in Los Angeles. His work spans enterprise systems, data science, operations, systems thinking, and agentic engineering.
Across more than 15 years of enterprise work, his experience has included systems and operational work affecting organizations such as Walmart and Adobe. He approaches technology from the operation outward: software, data, automation, and AI are components of a larger system, not the objective themselves.
Operating philosophy
Start with the work. Find the friction. Understand the system producing it. Then decide whether the intervention requires workflow, data, software, automation, AI, organizational design, or some combination of them.
